So this isn't a new idea, but rather a completed project. I posted this on the facebook page, but some people don't have facebook, and posts get easily overlooked/lost in the shuffle on there so I'm reposting this here. I wrote an instructable to show how to start your car from your cell phone in a step by step guide. Feel free to rate it too if you have an account: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to- ... ia-GSM-re/
(Note: An Instructable is a small step by step guide on how to do something.)

Re: GSM Car Starter
I've been thinking of more and more amazing uses for this GSM relay device...like wiring one of the relays inline with the Fuel Pump circuitry...send your car a text message and the engine cuts itself off.

Re: GSM Car Starter
Are you talking about Jon Ness? He is a friend of a friend of mine. I got the idea from hackaday.com, but I contacted Jon to get some ideas. He used a bulkier CDMA system with lots of custom mods to kill the engine on command. You could do the same thing with this system as well, as it has 6 relays that are controlled be text message.
