Oops I didn't see this thread and posted in the old one.
I have a Pace ST-25 station I'd be willing to donate to the cause. I may also be able to get a couple of those posable benchtop lamp/magnifiers.
I have access to the scrap bins at SMW, I can supply various bits of pieces of aluminum and steel from time to time.

I built an 8'x8' workbench in my shed last fall out of 2x3 and OSB, only took about an hour. I've also got some spare thick laminated desk tops from a cubicle, they're heavy as hell, but work great.
I've got a pair of these cubicles at home, only have one set up at the moment since they're kinda huge, about 10'x8' (pardon the giant mess):

get most of the cool stuff my wife hates from work. We recently consolidated some of our branch offices and brought in different office furniture, no room for all the cubes, so I took some. Pretty much same deal with most of the servers etc. I've got enough equipment to fill a small datacenter. enough of it is recent enough to go back into production too.

I merged two threads into this one. The 7 messages from "Stuff people are willing to contribute" are just before this post.

The 400 or so lockers I discussed at the last meeting:
- no one had thought of selling them yet, but once I asked lots of people want them
- since it is easier for the purchasing agent, who is in charge of disposing of depreciated equipment, they may be shipped off to an auction place. Otherwise he has to deal with splitting them up into lots of 10 or so, listening to the whining when some people don't offer enough, etc
- I offered to bring in volunteers to remove them - us - so that he didn't have to pay a crew to remove them and transport them off site. He thought about it for a couple of minutes before he realized that we would not have WCB, insurance, etc. PCS would assume the liability for any injuries we sustain removing the lockers. So that answer is no.
I'll keep on it.

Update on the lockers:
- many of the 400 lockers have been claimed for other tasks at the mill.
- those that are still available (at least 100) will not be removed from service until at least September.
- everyone involved (but me) wants to 'wait and see' instead of setting a price and letting me buy the things ahead of time.

The demolition crew at PCS Allan have set aside 5 sets of 6 lockers each (30 total) for me. I need to pick them up Sunday. I had sent out an email last night but now I realize that I don't have access to my personal email from work ... darn firewalls ... so I don't know if there are 3 people available to help load them onto the trailer and unload them at the 220.
I've told the mill that I'll get them picked up on Sunday. If anyone is available send me an email. I had suggested starting out from the 220 at 10:00 but that will depend on who is available. If everyone is on the East side, there's no point all of us driving downtown first.
Tonight I will contact anyone who has said that they are available and we can work out the details.
I plan to put the lockers in the 220 and we can decide how many we want there, if anyone wants to take some home, etc.
In another 2 weeks or so, it looks like there will be another lot of 40 or 50 lockers available if we want them. I don't think we have enough wall space for that many lockers but maybe we could make a wall or divider out of locker?

We were talking in IRC about whether or not we have room for all 30 lockers in the space. Do we have to take all of them?
