I saw that DigitalOSH has been working on a camera rig:
http://sktechworks.ca/?m=201108
I couldent find his Post in the form
Hephaestus made one of his own.
I made one too:
https://vimeo.com/44540778
right now its just controlled buy a servo and an rc remote.
Im working on controlling it with stepper motors and basically animating its motion in blender.
That part of the project has been put on hold altho I do have stepper motors being wirelessly controlled by blender ( blender > blue tooth serial port connection > arduino > stepper Driver> stepper)
Some of my python code is in a pretty sad state.
and iv yet to attach the stepper to the camera dolly.
Any way
If any one wants to columbine projects let me know..
My rig is fully functional up to 30 ft long ( build to any length in 4 ft sections) so just ask if you would like you use it!
Motion Control Camera Rig
Re: Motion Control Camera Rig
I've wanted to build one, but all I've ever had was a vague idea in my head.
Pretty much as small as possible just for a gopro, maybe more than one of them at a time.
I've got some little servos, rc remote and bearings from a skateboard.
Don't have the full plan yet, but the simpler the better.

Re: Motion Control Camera Rig

Rylan has made some HUGE headway on this rig in the last little bit! It's blowing my mind… there will be a video of it in action posted up here soon, keep your eyes peeled!
