I have essentially built a new copter at this point, and I must say, it works far better than the cheap HobbyKing kits. I had already ordered a Turnigy Talon v1 498mm frame, but just as it arrived, I burned out one of the motors from the kit. Thanks to thesaxmachine and his spare parts collection, I now have EMAX FC2822 motors and 11x4.7 SF props. These large props spin much slower, allowing it to efficiently generate more static thrust than the old model. It flies for longer and is smoother, despite being a bit heavier!

got my talon V2 frame yesterday, but the 2822 motors don't line up with the mounting holes, still trying to figure it out, got this far assembling it though:
