created a new poll in the thread to get some opinions/feedback regarding where people would like to have the space. Feel free to leave comments. The idea for gathering this feedback comes from our last meeting where we discussed the possibility of having a space on the 200 block of 20th street west, some had security concerns.

It may be a little out of the way for some people, but the size, facilities, and price all seem very reasonable. It is considerably cheaper than the commercial options and it even has bay doors. It looks perfect for our purposes.
We'd have to see the inside of the building but I think it may actually be a feasible option. It's north enough that we're not in a bad area of town and it should be easily accessible via circle drive. I emailed the owner to ask for pictures of the interior.
Not sure about this, but the 600v 3-phase power *might* be an issue. That's industrial power, meant to run very heavy equipment. Depending on what is available, we may have to install a transformer to bring that down to 120/240. I'm really not sure though.
it just means 3-phase service, you still just use single phase 120v for normal wiring throughout the building. It just means that if we wanted to, we could get a huge ass CNC table, or a massive metalworking lathe
Also: that sapce on quebec is pretty sweet! does it have a service elevator? (2nd floor space, right?) what are the dimensions, looks long and narrow.
I would lean towards the first one over the second one simply because the first one is ground-level with an overhead door. I wouldn't mind being able to bring my car in to work on, plus it would make moving larger projects in and out a lot easier.
That first building looks really good. It's a big building and allows for that mechanical (or car electronics) side of things that some people may be interested in. I would just wonder if we have the membership base right now to support the cost of the building. Might also be worth looking into a bay in a strip mall, about 1000+ sqft. I'll keep my eyes open.
