Figured I might as well start a thread for some of my projects. You can check out some of my older stuff at http://www.travco-enterprises.com
Anyways, I'm working on something new and maybe you guys can help me out. Basically I'm planning on having a 4 digit 7 segment display, and I want to make it count up via a momentary switch input. Is there a good way to do this with using a micro?

Re: Travco Enterprises
You don't even need a micro, check out the 4026 and/or 4033 (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/schs031b/schs031b.pdf)
Re: Travco Enterprises
Thanks, I had looked at those but I thought I was going to run into trouble using them with multiple digits. On a closer look it seems like when the IC gets to 10 it will send a trigger to the next IC, and so on depending on how many digits you have. Is that right?
Re: Travco Enterprises
That certainly appears to be the case.
Re: Travco Enterprises
I'm bored so heres a few other things I'm currently working on.

1979 Japanese Pachinko machine, I got it figured out and working properly but it still needs a lot of cleaning and mild restoration.

I machine aftermarket antennas to replace the 'fishing rod' style ones on vehicles to make a little money on the side. These ones are for GM vehicles.

Codenamed 'Creeper' CX1 recon bot. Was working good but broken and taken apart currently. (video stopped working for some reason, need time to investigate)

Got some cheapo DROs from ebay a few weeks ago, finally got around to putting them on my mini mill

Still need to finish the Z and route all the wires nicely.
