220 Front Door

Discussions on anything related to the evolving idea of Saskatoon's first "makerspace". What is a makerspace to you? What should it be called? What's the charter?

220 Front Door

Post by Odemia »

The 220 front door is not working. I think it is out of juice or something, normally there is a light on above the handle that is not on. I was able to get in at ~10 this morning but had to try a couple times, but when I came back at 11 I couldn't get in at all. Had to get the coffee shop to open their door.

Anyways if you have contact info for Curtis/220 staff could you make sure they know.

Did you know that the RFID key is supposed to be "inserted" like a normal key? There is a little recessed rectangle in the reader that you have to stick the end of your fob into. I had always just held it up sideways and it stopped working for me as the door battery voltage lowered. You may be right about it being dead since you talk about the LED, but since I was never instructed on the correct way to use the fob I thought others might want to know too.

I'm sure it will get taken care of tomorrow morning when all the office people are stuck outside.

Yup, I had noticed the recess and need to be closer and closer more recently. I was actually making physical contact and still nothing.

Mine has always had to make physical contact. Oh well, worked fine last night so they must have replaced the battery.
