Move-in supplies

Discussions on anything related to the evolving idea of Saskatoon's first "makerspace". What is a makerspace to you? What should it be called? What's the charter?

Move-in supplies

Post by rsilk »

As per the discussion at the last meeting, here's a (probably incomplete) list of stuff we need to get taken care of before we move in to our new home:

* insurance (DigitalOSH to handle)
* couch (looks like Tetragrammatron found one)
* workbenches (I'll donate some materials, we'll need to pick up more)
* cleaning supplies (broom, garbage can, etc)
* safety gear (fire extinguisher, safety glasses, first aid kit, etc) (FingerTech mentioned that he might have some safety glasses?)
* chairs/stools for the benches
* waivers, etc (I'll find something)

I see posts on kijiji every other day advertising free lumber for pickup so we can probably get some workbench material that way.

I don't have the ability to haul lumber personally, but if someone wants to they should feel free.

I now have an extra table 47"x30" by 32" high, with metal legs. Would probably be good for a laptop table. Just need someone with a truck to move it down to the space.
