Re: Reverse knee biped
Thread hijack!
This is actually the main thing I want to finish in the TechWorks space. I figure if I bring the parts there, then bring myself there, I will have no choice but to finish!
This is the CAD of my intended MechWars 2010 entry.
All the garolite panels routered out.
Aluminum frame pieces milled and bent.
All assembled.
I've got the guns too but no pics.
I plan to run the entire robot from a R/C transmitter, using preprogrammed walking gaits stored in the SSC-32 servo controller. I have a microcontroller interpreting the pulse streams from the radio receiver, but that's as far as I got because the cheap smaller digital servos freaked out when I pressed the "emergency stop" button in the SSC-32 software and killed themselves.
Now back to Al's thread...

Want to bring what you've got for a show & tell at the next meeting?
Re: Reverse knee biped
Where do you get that plastic (garolite?) from? Looks very handy.

Garolite is a trade name for the stuff they use for PCBs. You can get it from Kurtis' store.

Re: Reverse knee biped
I had to steal parts from it so it doesn't look like much at the moment. I could bring it if you still want.
Ryan, I sell 1/16" garolite sheets in blue, black, red and camouflage! Like Al said, it's pcb without the copper. FR-4 is the variety I sell, which is a little stronger than pcbs.
