So, I'm thinking we should pool possible ideas, designs or sketches together for a possible logo. I'll attempt to sketch something up in the next few days and toss it up here. If anyone else has any other possible ideas or suggestions toss 'em up here and maybe in the next couple weeks we can hold a vote and get a logo up and running.

Here's a couple real rough sketches between customers today.
I tried to incorporate the intricate shape of Saskatchewan and I figured electricity is pretty key to the whole idea


It's a little noisier than the rest but those are gears, I swear.


I was thinking of incorporating an exploding diagram into this, but I figured as sweet as it would be, it wouldn't make for a good logo, so i went with the cheesey slogan instead.


this one is pretty simple but gets the whole community idea across.

i like the idea of using the shape of Saskatchewan. what if the shape was a perspective of a 40 pin PDIP chip?

I really like the bottom one, the idea of the plug with the gear on it. Not sure about the speech bubble though.

Power cord reminded me of the city of saskatoon logo: I like the gears, I think it is important not to just do an IC or something electrical. I want to learn other stuff too.

What do you guys think of these?

i've been trying to come up with something involving a wrench and a soldering iron, if someone wants to roll with that, feel free. I briefly thought of trying to do a jolly roger with a space invaders character for the skull and wrench and soldering iron for the cross bones, but it seemed pretty darn cheesy.

Clean and simple? A bit of a rip on TechShop, but whatev... Also the gear sucks, but it's good enough for a proof of concept.

i like the Black and white one. simple clean and easy to put on things (shirts, signs)

Very minor edit, love the first one Ryan, but what do you think of having the outline of SK in a third color ? (doesn't have to be grey, but jsut something to mkae the provinces outline pop out?):
