Discussions on anything related to the evolving idea of Saskatoon's first "makerspace". What is a makerspace to you? What should it be called? What's the charter?
I am still a little confused as to what was going on there.
I am pretty sure those PCBs if they did have magnets/electro magnets would just spin to point at the big magnets. Magnets don't generally push each other away unless their alignment is held steady by something else.
Were the PCBs in the balls actually active, I am thinking they were probably just absorbing and dissipating magnetic energy, possibly with an osculating circuit so that the balls wouldn't just find a stationary point but would dance a little.
There were 3 electromagnets on the hangy thing. Were they being driven in unison? DC or AC driven? Something was preventing the balls from just lamming into the top. That is the part I don't understand.
